For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Pastor's "Just saying"
Jesus had taught His disciples using parables and then explaining them. In this statement to Jesus, they are saying - we believe in you and that you came from God! Jesus answered back to them "Do you now believe?" He questioned their belief not to be negative, but He knew their mind and heart. He knew that they had heard and seen many things He had done before them, and they believed in those things. Yet, He questioned their deep understanding of Him and their true faith in believing what they were saying. When Jesus was arrested, they fled. While He was in the illegal court, Peter denied knowing Him. At the Cross, only John was there. Jesus' question for that moment involved that moment, but the soon future "Do you now believe?" What about this afternoon, tomorrow, a week from now? We need to decide right now what we believe about Jesus. We need to decide is He Lord of our life or not, right now. We need to decide will He be our Lord and Savior now and forever, right now. Once we settle in our hearts and minds right now who Jesus is to us - we can then go forward with Him. We need focus on the things that God is doing in our lives and join Him, that we may grow spiritually.
I encourage everyone to read, pray and believe - John 14:6 Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father except by Me." Jesus is no longer a babe in a manger. He is Lord of Lord's and King of King's who is Savior of all who call upon His name.
Let Jesus become your Savior through Acknowledgement of who you are a sinner on the way to hell. Believe that God sent Him to die for your sins and raised Him from the dead. Then repent of them, Call on His name and you will be saved.
